About our members
Some fun facts about us that will help your session be as successful as it can.
- The EAC comprises approximately.100 active members comprising: Community Roles, long-term Legacy members, new and renewing members
- We are a very warm, engaged and active group!
- 70% of our members are currently female (in the past, we have been 50/50)
- At the start of an intake, most members are at the early stage of getting their ideas down and structured, and a good portion of our renewing and Legacy members maybe further along drafting their books, after following a very rigorous development process (the process in the EAC coaches authors from idea to beyond the launch)
- However, we have a number of Mentors and members with published books who also like to come to coaching and learn new, or revisit, approaches to maximise their book’s impact
- 40% of our members publish with traditional publishers, but most will self publish or use a hybrid publisher
- That means they’re looking to learn how the publishing industry works, but also how they can use that knowledge to better their own impact, regardless of how they publish
How to make the session successful (our top 3 tips)
- Keep it upbeat and positive - The publishing industry is often very "doom'n'gloom", so our aim is to always be open, honest and transparent, but to encourage our members to be creative and find opportunities in different ways!
- Engage direct with members - We really respect the time you’re gifting us, and we love asking questions, so invite members to come off mic and actively engage and talk direct with you.
- Have fun! - We are curious, ready to listen and learn from your experience, and most importantly, looking to enjoy the experience as much as you.
